 The Efficacy of Telehealth-Delivered Speech and Language Intervention for Primary School-Age Children: A Systematic Review  

Evaluations are between 30-60 minutes in duration and involves a parent interview and thorough testing to assess all areas of concern. McKenzie will discuss her findings with you and write a complete evaluation report with an appropriate plan of care including treatment goals and additional referrals if needed. 

Absolutely! McKenzie encourages parents/caregivers to be present for evaluations and therapy. During evaluations, parents offer invaluable information about their child’s interests and strengths and aid McKenzie in creating a treatment plan for their child. During treatment sessions, McKenzie will work 1:1 with your child but she will also provide you with strategies to continue the same work at home. 

Evidence Based Practice (EBP) is the combination of clinical expertise, internal and external data, and parent/client/caregiver perspective.

The frequency and duration of treatment is different for each individual. Empower offers 30 eminute treatment sessions 1-3 times per week.
